Ron Spomer has hunted in forty states and five countries, from the ArcticCircle to Africa. He travels at least four months a year, armed with rod, gun, andcamera in search of adventures about which he later writes. He is the rifle columnistfor Sporting Classics, a technical writer for Rifle Magazine, and a field editorfor American Hunter and Sports Afield. He is the author/photographer of TheRut, Big Game Hunter's Guide to Montana, Big Game Hunter's Guide to Idaho, TheHunter's Book of the Whitetail, and coauthor of Advanced Whitetail Hunting. Heis also the host of the television show Winchester World of Whitetail. Ron Spomerlives in Boise, Idaho.
