Dr. Doyice Cotten is Professor Emeritus at Georgia Southern University where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in sport law and risk management. He is also co-author of the popular text, Law for Recreation and Sport Managers (5th edition). He is past president of the Sport and Recreation Law Association and is the recipient of the Betty van der Smissen 2007 Leadership Award presented by the Sport and Recreation Law Association. Mary Cotten is a former instructor at Georgia Southern University.
