Biography"Some people see a gorgeous sunset and photograph it. Others paint it. I knit it. Fiber and fabric are my media. Knitting that sunset makes it mine.""I am Deborah. I am fortunate to be able to spend my days doing the things I love most in life: knitting, sewing, designing, reading and writing. I am trying to learn, with an open mind, as much as I can from this life without having to repeat my mistakes or the mistakes of my parents."Deborah Tomasello learned to knit and sew at her grandmother's knee whenshe was about five years old. Some of her fondest memories of her Grammainvolve yarn and needles. She would start with grand ideas of knitting a scarf, but after working a few inches,… when something of a lacy trapezoid wouldappear, she'd turn that scarf-gone-awry into a skirt for her Barbie. Over theyears, her scarves became straighter, and her imagination broadened. Wools andfabrics have woven themselves into Deborah's very being, and she spends all her days happily designing and knitting her colorwork patterns.
