Afsaneh Nahavandi is professor and chair of Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego and emeritus professor at Arizona State University.ï¿½ Previously she was associate dean of the ASU College of Public Programs and the director of the MBA Program and professor of Management at Arizona State University West. Her teaching and research interests include leadership, culture, ethics, and teams. She is author of a top leadership text, The Art and Science of Leadership, Seventh Edition . She is the author ofï¿½ Ancient Leadership Wisdom, Organizational Behavior : The Person-Organization Fitï¿½ and Organizational Culture in the Management of Mergers as well numerous articles. She has received several teaching awards including ASU's most prestigious Parents' Association Professor of the Year in 2004.
Robert B. Denhardt is Professor of Leadership in the Sol Price School at the University of Southern California, Regents Professor Emeritus at Arizona State University, and Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the University of Delaware. Dr. Denhardt is a past president of the American Society for Public Administration and a member of the National Academy of Public Administration. Dr. Denhardt has published a dozen books, including Managing Human Behavior in Public and Nonprofit Organizations, The Dance of Leadership; The New Public Service, Theories of Public Organization; Public Administration: An Action Orientation; In the Shadow of Organization; and The Pursuit of Significance.
Janet V. Denhardt is the Chester A. Newland Professor of Public Administration and Director of the University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy in Sacramento.nbsp; Her teaching and research interests focus on organization theory, organizational behavior, and leadership. She is co-author of Managing Human Behavior in Public and Nonprofit Organizations, Third Edition. Her most recent book, The Dance of Leadership, was preceded by The New Public Service, Managing Human Behavior in Public and Non-Profit Organizations, and Street-Level Leadership: Discretion and Legitimacy in Front-Line Public Service. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Southern California, Dr. Denhardt taught at Arizona State University, Eastern Washington University, and served in a variety of administrative and consulting positions.
Maria P. Aristigueta is the Charles P. Messick Professor, director of the School of Public Policy and Administration, and Policy Fellow in the Institute of Public Administration at the University of Delaware. Her teaching and research interests are primarily in the areas of organizational behavior, performance management, and strategic planning.nbsp; She authored Managing Human Behavior in Public and Nonprofit Organizations, Managing for Results in State Government and Managing Behavior in Public and Non-profit Organizations ; and was co-editor of the International Handbook of Practice-Based Performance Management .nbsp; Dr. Aristigueta will be president of the American Society for Public Administration in 2015.
