Hyacinth C. Martin, BSN, MA, MSED, MPS, RNBC is a registered professional nurse for thirty-years. Her nursing career includes staff nurse in medical-surgical units, head nurse/nurse manager for medical-surgical units and critical-care units, administrative nursing supervisor, community nursing and administrative nursing supervisor in long-term care agencies. Her academic experiences include teaching theory and clinical in a Licensed Practical Nursing program, a Baccalaureate Degree Program and at present in an Associate Degree program. Publications include two manuscripts for Nursing Journal, Continuing Medical Education Resource and part of a chapter on the endocrine system in introduction… to medical terminology published by Thomson: Delmar Learning. Article accepted by Nursing Spectrum for publication - August 2004.
