Description:

The most harrowing epic since the series' inception starts when Snow and Bigby's cub Therese receives a Christmas gift from an unknown admirer. This red plastic boat may hold the key to a deep, disturbing secret that will incite a series of soul-crushing events for the denizens of Fabletown. Plus, a backup feature that follows Bufkin's (mis)adventures in Oz painted by fan-favorite Shawn McManus.

Bill Willingham has been writing, and sometimes drawing, comics for more than twenty years. During that time he's had work published by nearly every comics publisher in the business and he's created many critically acclaimed comic book series, including Elementals, Coventry, PROPOSITION PLAYER and of course the seminal Vertigo series FABLES, as well as its spin-off series FAIREST, JACK OF FABLES and THE LITERALS. His work has been nominated for many awards, including the Eisner, Harvey and Ignatz comic industry awards and the International Horror Guild award. He lives somewhere near a good poker room.

Mark Buckingham is presently an artist on Marvel's Peter Parker, Spider-Man. Previously, he juggled his time among almost every book in DC Comics' Vertigo line (most notably on Sandman's sister Death) and Marvel's Dr. Strange, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Generation X. He is also renowned for his experimental artwork on Eclips Comics' Miracleman. "Bucky," as he is often known, is honorary chair of the Comic Creators Guild and co-organizer of the United Kingdom's National Comics Awards. He lives with his wife, Gail, and three cats in the Victorian seaside town of Clevedon, England.
