Kenneth R. Curtis received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1989 and has been Associate Professor of History at California State University, Long Beach until he began his recent post as Assistant Vice President of International and Global Engagement at CSUB. His specialty is African and third world comparative history. Ken is co-author of DISCOVERING THE GLOBAL PAST: A LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE, Fourth edition (Cengage Learning, 2012). He has recently been selected to the 2009-10 President's Fellows Program of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA). As co-author of the Cengage Learning text VOYAGES IN WORLD HISTORY, he contributes chapters 16-32.
