Franca Celli Merlonghi has taught Spanish language and literature, Italian language and literature, Italian cinema and English as a second language at pine Manor College as Associate Professor. She worked as an editor of bilingual and Spanish textbooks, as well as taught Italian, Spanish, and French in Boston Public Schools, and Warwick, R.I. Public Schools. Since returning to Italy, she has taught Italian to foreigners through EU programs, and English to Italians at private institutions.
Ferdinando Merlonghi was the Assistant Vice President in the International Division at State Street Bank in Boston, MA. Since returning to Italy, he has helped organize courses of Italian for Foreigners for EU programs and private institutions. During the summers, he takes a group of students to Parma, Italy for intensive language courses.
Brian Rea O'Connor received a Masters degree in two Romance languages and a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from Boston College. He currently coordinates all language-level Italian courses and teaches a variety of courses in Italian language and culture at Boston College. During the summers, he takes a group of students to Parma, Italy for intensive language courses.
Joseph Tursi is Professor Emeritus of Italian at Stony Brook University. He has also been Chairman of the Department of French and Italian, Director of Teacher Training in Foreign Language Education and Director of the Doctor of Arts in Foreign Languages Program. He is past president of several professional language organizations on the local, state, and national levels, including President of the National American Association of Teachers of Italian.
