Shirley Kuiper is an Emerita Professor, Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan, University of Colorado, and Indiana University. She has taught business communication at high school, community college, university undergraduate, and university graduate levels. Dr. Kuiper's communication publications include articles in journals such as Journal of Business Communication, Business Communication Quarterly, Delta Pi Epsilon Journal, and Office Systems Research Journal. In addition to CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS REPORTS, Dr. Kuiper authored or coauthored four previous editions of this book (under the titles Report Writing…    

DR. DORINDA CLIPPINGER earned business education degrees from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and Indiana University in Bloomington; taught in Western Kentucky University's Business Administration College; and developed and managed projects at South-Western Publishing Co. before founding Penworthy Learning Systems, a consultancy for instructional materials publishers. As a Lecturer in Management, Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina (1999-2010), she taught professional communication, including report writing and presentation.
