Faith D'Aluisio is a former television news producer. Her documentary and news series pieces have won regional and national awards from the Headlines Foundation, United Press International, Associated Press, and the Radio-Television News Directors Association. Peter Menzel is an internationally known photojournalist who writes many of his books in collaboration with his wife, Faith D'Aluisio. Titles of some include "Material World: A Global Family Portrait," "Man Eating Bugs: The Art and Science of Eating Insects" (the writing of which required the two to actually devour bugs), and "Women in the Material World."

Naomi Wolf was born in 1962 in San Francisco. She studied at Yale before becoming a Rhodes scholar at New College, Oxford, and working in Edinburgh. The Beauty Myth was published in 1990 and was an international bestseller. This was followed by Fire with Fire, Promiscuities, Misconceptions and The Tree House.
