Lisa Grossman, PhD, is a clinical and forensic psychologist in private practice in Chicago, Illinois. She also holds a law degree. He is co-author with Jeff Barnett of Financial Success in Mental Health Practice: Essential Tools and Strategies for Practitioners (2009), co-edited (with Allen K. Hess) Succeeding in Graduate School: The Career Guide for Psychology Students (2001), and edited Earning a Living Outside of Managed Care: Fifty Ways to Leave Your Oppressor (2010). He has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of substance abuse, bariatric surgery, HIPPA, and professional training and practice. He is the Editor of APA Division 42s quarterly Bulletin, The Independent Practitioner. He has been a Visiting Professor/Lecturer in the Departments of Psychology at Kennesaw State University and Georgia State University.
