Val D. Greenwood is the author of The Researcher?s Guide to American Genealogy, first published in 1973 and in its third edition since 2000. This book is now considered a classic and is the standard work in the field. It has sold more than 100,000 copies. Mr. Greenwood loves the Old Testament and is a long-time student of the scriptures. He studies them continually and reads through them often because of his great love for the word of God. He and his wife, Patricia (Patty) Tanner Greenwood, whom he married in 2004, live in Riverton, Utah. His first wife, Margaret (Peggy) Turner Greenwood, passed away in early 2003 from cancer. He has three daughters, a stepdaughter, and two stepsons. He and… Patty have twenty-five grandchildren between them.
