Geoff Dyer is the author ofJeff in Venice, Death in Varanasi and three previous novels, as well asmany non-fiction books including The Ongoing Moment (winner of the ICP Infinity Award for Writing on Photography), But Beautiful (winner of the Somerset Maugham Prize), The Missing of the Somme and two collections of essays. He is the recipient of the E.M. Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and of a Lannan Literary Fellowship.
