Patricia Raybonis the award-winning author of I Told the Mountain to Move and My First White Friend, her racial forgiveness memoir that won the prestigiousChristopher Award. She and her husband, Dan, have two daughters and five grandchildren.
Alana Raybonnbsp;is an elementary school teacher currently residing in Texas. During the past nine years, she has served as a 3rd, 4th and 5th grade lead teacher to a diverse population of students. She has been a mentor to new and student teachers, and was nominated by her teaching peers for a Teacher of the Year award.
