Author Jim Butcher was born in Independence, Missouri on October 26, 1971. He is the author of The Dresden Files series and the Codex Alera series. He has also written a Spider-Man novel entitled The Darkest Hours and a novelette entitled Backup. He has contributed to numerous anthologies including My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding, Blood Lite, and Many Bloody Returns. His latest fantasy novel is entitled, Side Jobs. His works also include Ghost Story which made Publisher's Weekly best seller list for 2011. In 2012 his title Cold Days: A Novel of the Dresden Files made The New York Times Best Sellers List. Butcher's Dresden Files Novel, Skin Game, debuted #1 on the New York Times Bestseller… list in June 2014.
