#60;b#62;Shawn J. Parry-Giles#60;/b#62; (Ph.D., Indiana University, 1992) is an Associate Professor of Communication, Affiliate Associate Professor of Women#8242;s Studies, and the Director of the Center for Political Communication and Civic Leadership. She teaches and studies historical and contemporary political discourse as well as rhetorical, feminist, and media criticism. She is the author of a book entitled, The Rhetorical Presidency, Propaganda, and the Cold War, 1945-1955 (Praeger 2001), and co-author of the book, Constructing Clinton: Hyper-Reality and Presidential Image-Making in Postmodern Politics (Peter Lang 2002). #60;br#62;#60;p#62;J. Michael Hogan is Professor of… Communication at Penn State University. His authored books include The Panama Canal in American Politics (1986), The Nuclear Freeze Campaign (MSUP 1994), and Woodrow Wilson's Western Tour (A&M 2006), along with two edited books, Rhetoric and Community (USCP 1998), and Rhetoric and Reform in the Progressive Era (2003). He is a long time member of the editorial board of the Quarterly Journal of Speech and the editorial board of Rhetoric and Public Affairs.
