Maira Kalman is the acclaimed author and illustrator of many books, including Fireboat: The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey; Next Stop Grand Central; and Ooh La La, Max in Love. Her work has appeared in such publications as The New Yorker, Mademoiselle, and The New York Times. She is working on another picture book starring Pete the dog.
