Lewis D. Solomon is Van Vleck Research Professor of Law at George Washington University Law School. A prolific author on legal, business, public policy, and religious topics, he has written widely in areas of social and scientific policy that deal with legal issues. Anton C. Zijderveld is professor of general sociology and dean of the faculty of social sciences at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. He has taught in the United States and Canada. Among his publications are The Abstract Society, On Clich�s, Reality in a Looking-Glass, and from Transaction, A Theory of Urbanity: The Economic and Civic Culture of Cities.
