Scholarship Time!

March marks the beginning of the end of the school year for both high school and college students. With that, comes the fast approaching deadlines that students face when applying for scholarships.

Below we have put together a small list of some scholarships you may be interested in. The list is ordered by the date they are due with the first one listed being the earliest. Check them out and start applying!

1.) Project Yellow Light Hunter Garner Scholarship

Deadline: March 17

Award Range: $1,000-$5,000

Awards Granted: 3

Class Year: High School Senior, College Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior

Applicants can apply for this scholarship if they are a legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. The applicants must create and submit a video designed to motivate, persuade, and encourage teens not to text while driving. The video will be limited to either exactly 25 seconds or 55 seconds. In addition, the winning video will be turned into an Ad Council PSA and will be distributed nationally to 1,600 TV stations. Read more.

2.) Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire

Deadline: March 19

Average Award: $2,000

Awards Granted: 50

Class Year: High School Senior, College Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior

This scholarship is for students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and who are under care of a licensed health provider. To apply, applicants must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Applicants must also be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, and other educational institutions. Read more.

3.) Doodle 4 Google Scholarship

Deadline: March 20

Award Range: 5,000 – $30,000

Awards Granted: 6

Class Year: K-12

This scholarship is for those enrolled in US-based public, private or homeschool programs. To qualify, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. To apply, applicants must submit a piece of original, two-dimensional artwork on a given theme that features the Google logo. Read More.

4.) Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships

Deadline: March 28

Award Range: $500 – $5,000

GPA Requirement: 2.0+

Class Year: High School Senior, College Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Master’s-level study, Doctoral-level study

This scholarship is for students who are majoring in and pursuing an undergraduate or graduated degree in advertising (art direction only), fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interactive design/motion graphics, and photography. Read more.
