Dr. Dan Lockton is a designer and researcher, specializing in the links between design, understanding, and people's behavior, particularly with respect to behavior change for social and environmental benefit. Dan is a visiting research tutor in Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art in London and he is Principal at Requisite Variety, a consultancy at the interface between people and designed systems, digital and physical. Dan earned his PhD from Brunel Design Research Centre at Brunel University, his Masters from Cambridge-MIT Institute, and his BS in Industrial Design Engineering from Brunel's former Runnymede Design School.
