Robert Cervero is professor of city and regional planning, Carmel P. Friesen Chair in Urban Studies, and director, Institute of Urban and Regional Development at the University of California-Berkeley. He is a frequent advisor and consultant on transport projects, both in the US and abroad, and was the first recipient of the Dale Prize for Excellence in Urban Planning Research.
