Owner of January Creative (januarycreative.com), Amber has been a self-employed graphic and web designer for over five years, starting early in her collegiate career. Highly involved in all facets of design and marketing, Amber is passionate about design, marketing, freelancing (particularly as a student), and entrepreneurship.Amber graduated from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee in August 2012 with two degrees: a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Visual Communications with a focus in Graphic Design, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Management.Actively involved in the freelance community, Amber can be found in books and websites about… freelancing, including the largest freelancing website FreelanceSwitch (freelanceswitch.com) and online tech and news site The Next Web (thenextweb.com). Freelancing as a student has given Amber the opportunity to start a student freelancing blog, appropriately named Students That Freelance (studentsthatfreelance.com) to help other students start freelancing during their collegiate years.After graduation she continues to remain self-employed as the owner of January Creative to allow for the creative freedom enjoyed by the unique mixture of design, marketing, and solopreneurship. She also enjoys her solopreneurship by starting and managing new businesses soon to be launched.
