As a child growing up in the Pacific Northwest, my parents equated a vacation with a road trip, stopping along the way to take in the scenery and roadside attractions. Fond memories of those trips have stayed with me, and I thank them today when I begin to plan yet another trip to the unknown. My mom was one of Annabelle Beasley's biggest fans.Luckily, the man I married many years ago shares my love of travel and adventure. There have been times that we looked at each other and asked if what we were about to do was a good idea, but we generally took the turn in the road and continued. You never know what you might find around those corners, and some of those discoveries have been the best… we have found.Scuba diving and photography added to the delight in finding new places to explore. I have met some wonderful people along the way who have become an important part of my life. The most amazing people I know are my grandchildren, for whom I originally wrote this book.
