The author, Jane August was born in the South but spent much of her young adult life in the Midwest; returning to her Southern home town for her writing career. She has always been a voracious reader, cutting her teeth on reading the Holy Bible from cover to cover when she was a teenager. She is a healthcare professional, who has written policy and procedure manuals for nursing homes and home heath care. 'Cat Tales' is her first novel to be published. She has a couple of other manuscripts in the making. Jane lives in Northern Mississippi with her significant other, their nine cats and one dog.
