Steven M. Nesbit received his Master's degree from Penn State University in 2000. He taught English in the public schools for 32 years and was also employed as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at York College. Nesbit's educational career has spanned almost four decades, and he's been a writer for twenty years. From freelancing and feature writing to ghostwriting and collaborative writing, his vast writing experience is filled with much diversity. His prime interest is nonfiction and research, and interviewing people is his forte. Nesbit has written more than 25 bio-features for publication. His writing career began in college when he placed second in a playwriting contest. During the… 1990s, he was a stringer for local newspapers writing feature stories, conducting interviews and reviewing entertainment in south central Pennsylvania, and he has freelanced articles for national magazines and newspapers, also. His manuscript, "Olivia's House Receives National Recognition," was one of the top Magazine Feature writing entries of the 76th Annual Writer's Digest writing competition. In 2010, his entry, "The Lost Collection", which was rewritten as the first chapter of Hudojnik, was again named one of the top Magazine Feature writing entries of the 79th Annual Writer's Digest writing competition. For the past four years, he has gathered information for the writing of the only authorized biography about classically-trained Russian artist Ivan Garikow. Currently, he writes a column and feature stories for his local newspaper. For relaxation, Nesbit is a patron of the Arts.
