Jess Browning is the former Director of Global Trade, Transportation, and Logistics Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. Jess has an MPA Degree from the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He served at the local level in Seattle on the Puget Sound's Freight Mobility Roundtable; at the national level on the Transportation Research Board's International Trade and Transportation Committee; and at the international level as a U.S. Delegate to APEC's Transportation Working Group. He also helped form a Consortium of eight international universities to do joint research and education in the fields of business, advanced technologies,… logistics, and marine affairs. Jess is a former entrepreneur having founded a manufacturing business engaged in international trade and holds eight patents. He has authored 4 books and has given many talks, lectures and keynote addresses both at home and abroad. He is married and lives with his wife near Seattle. They have 4 daughters, 6 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.
