Patricia Gentry is a retired grandmother with a long history of employment postions. She has been a realestate agent, a business entrepreneur, and a lead in a chocolate factory, to name a few. Besides writing, she is still active as a substitute teacher in the Jackson County, Tennessee school system. The plight of some students in the area initiated the desire to write POPPY's CHILD, which is a reflection of one of those children.
