N. Maria Serna is a native of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He didn't live in a house with electricity until he was twelve. That is why for many years he could see better in the dark and preferred the nightlife for most things, including work, college and writing, but he never became capable of growing fangs even on full moons, or of sleeping in a coffin. He believes that the bulk of human understanding is constructed on fable, and he prefers not only reality but realism. He also believes that learning English is a lifelong mission; most writers quit at an early age; he hasn't yet.
