My earliest memory was of being a victim of child abuse. At 17 I ran and escaped from that environment into the Army. I went to war in Viet Nam. I celebrated my 18th, 19th and 20th birthdays there. When I returned, the Veterans Administration rated me as 100% disabled from that experience. Then using the GI Bill I went to college.
