Glenwood Augustus Lawrence, born in Kingston, Jamaica, is a Pastor. While studying visual arts on a scholarship awarded by the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences, he undertook studies in computer systems, later pursuing the B.Sc. in Computer Science at Brooklyn College, New York and a B.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. Inspired by reactions to his book Hurt: Recovery Procedures, (an 800 lines narrative poem), he merged his gifts in art and literature and created A series titled: A Dance To The Music of Circumstances, which includes the popular fully illustrated book A Broom To Fly-Self-Management Talks With Yourself (- a unique angle on expectations; 134 pages, 134… watercolor illustrations), and the series: Contemporary Trouble Ticket-Trouble with Evil, Trouble with Good (448 pages, with over four hundred (400) watercolor illustrations). Titles in this series include: Private Business As Public Knowledge--25,270 Days One Lifespan, and Written In Stone and Written In Dirt--Reading Into The Past With An Eye On The Present.Glenwood is currently creating an art/literature/music project: Railways of Jamaica-An Illustrated History of the First British Colonial Railroad, inspired and initially sponsored by The Honorable Chris Blackwell, O.J. Illustration credits include The Lazy Person's Guide to Fitness, (Barricade Books) and and cover and book design for: Watching Over Montpelier's Gold (An eye opening story on protecting from abuse, our greatest treasure--our children, written by B. Joy Tracy McLaughlin), Illustrious Publishers, Queens, New York.
