Huang Hong, Associate Professor of Beijing Foreign Studies University, has taught Chinese to overseas students since 1985. From 1997 to 1999, she was assigned to the China center for Chinese Teaching in Hanover, Germany. She has published two textbooks for learners of Chinese and German. She has also been executive editor-in-chief of the Journal International Chinese Teaching & Research since December 2003. Professor Huang's research interests are in the fields of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and intercultural communication.
