Description:

Blind Homer lives in a crumbling Fifth Avenue mansion with brother Langley, gassed in the Great War. Doctorow draws on a true story-no surprise there-and, notwithstanding the acclaim accorded The March, it's good to see him bounce back to the 20th century. With a seven-city tour.
