Born in Gary, Indiana to Mr. and Mrs. John and Winfred Farmer. Youngest daughter of youngest female of 14 children. Elementary School, Bethune, won essay contest in the 6th grade. Graduated from Roosevelt High School 1978 and joined United States Army after graduation. Completed years of service in April 1983. Have two adult children, Nathan and Jasmine and have two grandchildren. Associates degree in Business from Brown Mackie College,2002 and Bachelor's Degree in Christian Business, 2002. Developed Creative Writing skills at Brown Mackie College.
