Historian and writer Jaimie McEvoy was the organizer of the Save Saint Mary's Colaition, the last effort to save Saint Mary's Hospital. As the wrecking ball struck, McEvoy was determined that more than a century of service provided by the hospital should not be forgotten. McEvoy is a long-time resident of New Westminster BC, where he lives with his partner, Stacy Ashton.
