Ron Turner founded San Francisco publishing company Last Gasp in the 1970s and has been dedicated to the lowbrow, underground art scene since his youth. He began his business publishing the ecologically-themed comics magazine Slow Death Funnies, followed by the all-female anthology It Ain't Me Babe, Last Gasp soon became a major part of the underground comics/comix movement. Ron Turner's unwavering dedication to the arts has allowed names such as Tim Biskup, Robert Crumb, and Ron English to thrive in the art world, and is because of his integrity and support that many west coast artist are able to be successful in this age.

Robert Williams (born March 2, 1943) is an American painter, cartoonist, and founder of Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine.[1]Williams was part of the Zap Collective,[2] along with other underground cartoonists such as Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. His mix of California car culture, cinematic apocalypticism, and film noir helped to create a new genre of psychedelic imagery.
