Description:

An all-star cast of contributors share their thoughts on women and leadership This volume brings together preeminent scholars from a wide range of disciplines to discuss the state of women's leadership in both the public and private sectors, at home and abroad, and as exercised formally and informally. It addresses how women today are exercising power, authority, and influence-and what still blocks their advance to leadership positions. Chapters are organized around both women in particular fields-such as business, law, government, politics, science, and the nonprofit sector-and more general topics such as work/life balance, organizational structures, and gender roles.
