Frank Cottrell Boyce is a screenwriter and novelist. He was born in Liverpool and studied English at Oxford University. He first worked as a television critic for Living Marxism magazine and wrote episodes for Coronation Street and Bookside. He also worked with director Michael Winterbottom on a number of films Forget About Me, Butterfly Kiss, Welcome to Sarajevo, The Claim, The Mayor of Casterbridge, 24 hour Party People, Code 46 and A Cock and Bull Story.
