Though he achievedfame in his lifetime as much for his scriptwriting and radio shows ashis cartooning, he is now considered one of the early pioneers of thegraphic novel format.Charles Burns is the award-winning creator of the graphic novel, Black Hole, currently in production as a major motion picture directed by David Fincher.
