Lionel Goulet was born at a very early age in a log cabin he helped his father build. He never had a mother as she left home before he was born. He had two formative moments in his life worth mentioning. At the age of 5 he concluded there was a God. At the age of 15 he concluded the most important thing in the world was to be happy. All the rest follows from these two. Lionel Goulet has never taken life very seriously. Given its temporal nature, that has always seemed the most prudent stance. At the age of 55, Lionel embarked on his Nth attempt at fame and fortune, writing a book. Armed with the fact that he could always spontaneously generate an entertaining story when his kids asked him… for one at bedtime, the next logical step was to make up a long story and write it down. The Field is that story. It turned out pretty well.
