WhenLinda de Sosaturned 36, she became suicidally depressed. During hospitalization and therapy, she met her soul mate, Brad. They were to marry, but he was living with bipolar disorder and post traumatic stress disorder from Vietnam. Ultimately, he couldn't live with the pain any longer and took his own life. Thus, Linda became unique - someone who understands both sides of suicide victims.Knowing him allowed her to diagnose her bipolar son at 12. Through years of supporting him - multiple attempts on her life, dealing with psychiatrists, insurance companies, schools and special education, the justice system, the police and their prejudices, rehab, mental hospitals, drug addiction and… sales, and dropping out of high school - she learned a lot. He has now graduated from college, is gainfully employed, and is clean and sober. The only way to make sense of the pain is to spread the word and help others.
