He is also the co-author of #60;i#62;Betting the Line; Sports Wagering in American Life#60;/i#62; (Ohio State University Press, 2001). Additionally, he is the author of four historical monographs, and editor of six historical anthologies that explore topics in American political and social history. He is Foundation Professor of History at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in American Sports History, American Social and Cultural History, Twentieth Century American History, and a required interdisciplinary core curriculum course in American Ideas and Values.
