Catherine Anderson (born on December 22, 1948, in Grants Pass, Oregon) is an American bestselling writer of historical and contemporary romance novels since 1988. Anderson sold her first book to Harlequin Intrigue and went on to write three more before trying her hand at a historical romance. Nine books later, she tried a contemporary title, followed by "Cherish," another historical. She is the author of more than twenty bestselling and award-winning historical and contemporary romances. Her book My Sunshine hit the New York Times bestseller list at #13 in January of 2005, and she was a 2004 RITA Best Contemporary Single Title Finalist. She has been awarded the Romantic Times Reviewers'… Career Achievement Award. Her book, Cherish, was a Romantic Times award winner.
