A teacher of college English for the past thirty-two years, Betsy S. Hilbert is Professor of English and Chair of the Independent Studies program at Miami-Dade Community College. Past president of the College English Association, she has served on the CCC Editorial Board and contributed to the CCCC Annual Bibliography of Composition and Rhetoric. She has chaired the MLA Executive committee on Teaching as a Profession and authored many articles and essays on teaching and writing.
