Judith Magyar Isaacson , a mathematician and former dean of students at Bates College, is the author of Seed of Sarah: Memoirs of a Survivor. A survivor of the concentration camps Aushchwitz-Birkenau and Hessisch-Lichtenau, she has lived in Auburn, Maine, for the past fifty years with her husband. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
