Robert Cervero is professor of city and regional planning, Carmel P. Friesen Chair in Urban Studies, and director, Institute of Urban and Regional Development at the University of California-Berkeley. He is a frequent advisor and consultant on transport projects, both in the US and abroad, and was the first recipient of the Dale Prize for Excellence in Urban Planning Research. His books include Development around Transit, The Transit Metropolis, and Paratransit in America: Redefining Mass Transportation.
