He is a member of the American Academy of Chefs and California Capital Chefs Association. He is a graduate of the University of Berkley, CA and the culinary Institute of America. His many culinary awards include the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique Awards, the Culinary Olympic Gold Medal worldwide, and silver and bronze medals at the Worlds Fair in Vancouver, British Columbia
