Roberta Berns is a Professor Emerita at the University of California, Irvine, as well as at Saddleback College, where she founded and chaired the Human Development Department. Berns also was a student of the renowned developmental psychologist, Urie Bronfenbrenner, at Cornell University. Now, she is married and living in California with her husband, who is a professor of biology and bioengineering. They have two married children and two grandchildren.
