Brenda and I have been Christians for all of our adult lives. We met in college and came to know the Lord in the late 70's. We were married in 1981 and now reside in Washington State where we raised our two children. Brenda is a high school math teacher and I am a small business owner. Both of us have been active in a local church while raising the kids. We had always felt a desire for a greater understanding of God's word and a deeper relationship with the LORD. We have been involved in our current church, El Shaddai Ministries for several years, and are learning more each day about the character of God and His incredible mercy in that He planned our redemption from the very beginning of creation. As we learn more and more about who God is, we have become closer to Him and know what an incredible gift His salvation is. We can't help but share about God and the redemption He offers through His son, Yeshua (Jesus). And so, we want to share some of what we have learned. Our studies on Shadows of Messiah in the Torah are currently available through El Shaddai Ministries. We are also working on a thirteen week in-depth study on the Feasts of the LORD.Our inspiration is Jesus' words when He spoke to two of His followers on the road to Emmaus after His resurrection. This has become our theme verse and is found in Luke 24:27, "And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the scriptures concerning himself." What did Jesus teach them? What scriptures was He referring to? The only scriptures in existence at that time were those that we now call the Old Testament. It didn't take long to realize that the entire body of Old Testament scripture is about Him.Rediscovering our Hebrew roots in the Old Testament scriptures has been a journey of incredible joy and enlightenment. It is our hope and prayer that you too will embark on a journey of discovery in God's word. Shalom and Be BlessedDan and Brenda Cathcart
