Elder care law, health care law, retirement planning, long-term care, and end-of-life planning are all hot issues--especially as baby boomers approach the twilight of their lives. And while numerous books are available for planning the various aspects of their later years, few guides exist to help lawyers navigate these turbulent waters. Based on the authors7; successful guide for laypeople, The End-of-Life Advisor is a guide to help lawyers address their clients' end-of-life issues. From the care planning process to wills and estates to DNRs, authors Susan Dolan and Audrey Vizzard provide lawyers with real-world advice and insight into dealing with these tricky and often emotionally charged issues. The book shares wisdom through both stories and practical advice as well as psychological insights and humor. The authors are uniquely positioned to write this book. Susan Dolan is a registered nurse, attorney, and certified HIPPA administrator. Audrey Vizzard is a clinical psychologist. Both are veteran hospice volunteers. In addition, they are a mother-daughter team, which allows them to discuss in real terms the pressing issues surrounding end-of-life care in a way that that few other authors could bring to the table.

Susan Riker Dolan, RN, JD, is a registered nurse and attorney. Susan practiced healthcare and corporate law and served as executive director for a national hospice organization. She is a healthcare consultant and a broadcast host for satellite radio station ReachMD XM 157, the channel for medical professionals.Audrey Riker Vizzard, RN, EdD, is a registered nurse and clinical psychologist. She is a former adjunct professor of psychology at Purdue University and the author of many books and articles. She served as a hospice volunteer and facilitates an ongoing Good Grief Group for seniors actively dealing with care giving and loss. Audrey also serves as the director of her family foundation.
