Anthony is a bootstrap, serial entrepreneur and CEO of several successful companies. He has served as a mentor to many start-up entrepreneurs, taking them from idea stage to revenue producing reality. Anthony believes that Entrepreneurship should become a standard core curriculum in 4th grade -12th grade education. As a boy, Anthony dreamed of one day owning his own business. But growing up in a single parent, blue-collar family did not afford him the opportunity to attend college, let alone launch a business. Yet he started several "kid businesses" during elementary and high school, learning the core entrepreneurial skills on the streets of trial and error versus through academia. This… served as a foundation for his entrepreneurial success later in life. After finishing high school, Anthony enlisted in the U.S. Army and was selected for Officer Candidate School. He served as a infantry platoon leader during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, Anthony finished his Bachelors and earned an MBA degree from the Carlson School of Management. He continued to operate as a bootstrap Entrepreneur while earning his MBA degree (launching small companies to help pay his way through graduate school). His entrepreneurial spirit, from those early childhood experiences, had never stopped calling. In 1999, after a bad experience with a contractor, he launched a construction business from the basement of his home. That business, Abelard Construction, is now a $30M+ company with over 250 employees and offices in several states. Anthony is also partners in several other construction companies that he helped to launch, including a female/minority owned construction company, Abri Construction. In 2009, Anthony's success, insight, and initiative led him to form Del Visionaries, a company to help guide young people toward Entrepreneurship. He authored "The Little Green Money Machine", a new interactive book that teaches kids how to start their own business. Knowing that kids would need more than just a book, Anthony also invented and currently manufactures a proprietary kid business stand. Kids pick a business template from the book and launch through the stand. Taking the neighborhood lemonade stand to a whole new level! Additionally, he sponsors a Kids in Biz Club and awards scholarships to kids of all ages. In the past year alone, Anthony Delmedico has earned the following awards for his launch of The Little Green Money Machine book and proprietary kid business stand: 1) NAPPA Gold Award 2) Dr. Toy Best Classic Toys 3) Oppernheim Toy Award 4) Honor Roll of American Entrepreneurs 5) B.I.G. Award from Orlando Inc. 6) 2011 Top 10 finalist for emerging Entrepreneurs (Entrepreneur Magazine) His Passion: Anthony donates his time, his entrepreneurial books and apprentice kits as well as speaks to at-risk kids, students and youth groups about the importance of Entrepreneurship. He is a a dedicated father to his 5 year old daughter, Bella Mia, whom is the primary emotional driver for his dedication to launching books, products and programs and leaving a simple "blueprint" that teaches kids entrepreneurship. His creed is simple: "FIGHT THE GLOBAL RECESSION...RAISE ENTREPRENEURS."
